SIGEP, THE GREAT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY


New facilities at exhibitors´ disposal with ´Top Buyer from five continents´ and ´SIGEP´ projects Rimini Fiera, 22-26 January 2011

The 32nd edition of the SIGEP International Exhibition of artisan Gelato, Confectionery and Bakery production, at Rimini Fiera from January 22nd to 26th 2011, will stand out for a series of innovative projects aiming at total exhibitor satisfaction as far as business opportunities connected with the participation in the expo are concerned.

Rimini Fiera business unit manager Patrizia Cecchi comments, ´As far as the quantity and quality of new business-orientated facilities are concerned, SIGEP 2011 will be a unique edition at world level. The expo is a leader in its sector and addresses companies´ demands for development and internationalization in a decisive manner. This is why, in response to our clients´ requirements, we have perfected further opportunities for meetings useful for developing business and therefore orders. Simultaneously with the organization of world-level events, we have prepared new facilities in favour of the exhibitors.´

TOP BUYERS FROM FIVE CONTINENTS


SIGEP 2011will further boost the ´Marketplace´ facility, the virtual platform providing interaction between supply and demand already tested in 2010. The Marketplace, which can be found on www.sigep.it, will enable (a month before the expo) exhibitors and top foreign buyers (distributors, importers, chains of patisseries and ice cream parlours, as well as high-end restaurants and hotels) to network on the precise subject of the meeting, which will then be physically developed during the five days of the expo. With the support of Rimini Fiera, the relationship will result in concrete opportunities, on which the operational foundation will be laid before the trade fair.
The effectiveness of the facility, which will be fully operational in 2011, can be seen by the numbers of the meetings held and the opinion of those who have been able to use it.
In fact, 386 business meetings were organized at the 2010 edition, with 94 exhibitors and 51 buyers taking part from 14 nations in Europe, North Africa and Asia. 94% of the companies considered them quite interesting; 85% described the profile of the buyers met as medium/high; 96% judged the organization of the meetings on the online platform to be good/excellent and 98% thought that the initiative should be repeated.
Starting from the excellent 2010 experience, SIGEP tripled its investments to support exhibitors in their business.
This led to the launch of the project TOP BUYERS FROM FIVE CONTINENTS, rooted in the virtual platform of the business meetings and the network of 25 foreign offices that cooperate on the search for top buyers to channel towards SIGEP, where they will be hosted by Rimini Fiera and assisted by interpreters during the business meetings on exhibitors´ stands.
They are importers wholesalers, retailers, buyers from chains and business concerns with big purchasing power that show interest in the gelato trade and, more in general, in the artisan confectionery trade, represented in its entirety at SIGEP.

The aim for the next edition is to host 100 buyers at SIGEP, who will take part in over 1,000 meetings with exhibitors. The buyers will be from the Mediterranean basin, East Europe, South East Asia and the Middle East.

SIGEP DIRECT
SIGEP Direct is the opportunity offered exclusively to exhibiting firms to communicate, months before the expo, with over 150,000 potential clients, by means of SIGEP´s direct marketing.
Another initiative supporting exhibitors´ business. This is a series of communication opportunities, addressing a community formed by 150,000 potential clients, before and during the expo. SIGEP NEWS is a newsletter already tested at previous editions and sent to 34,000 subscribers in Italy and abroad. The newsletter is published monthly and every two weeks in the period prior to SIGEP. Fiera Notizie on the other hand is a printed means for inviting trade members to SIGEP, of which over 50,000 copies are published in five languages. SIGEP WEB INVITATION on the other hand addresses a select exclusive public, invited to the expo with the possibility of printing out the free pass for access to the halls at home, avoiding time-wasting queues.
SIGEP SMS enables to communicate with visitors, reminding them of dates and events, methods of access and all the information necessary for organizing their visit, as well as a short message in the months leading up to the expo. SIGEP BLUE is the latest service and in this case allows to communicate with visitors already at the expo centre by means of Bluetooth technology. Exhibitors Video Gallery is a new showcase viewable on the Web site www.sigep.it offering exhibitors the possibility of uploading videos or publicity spots and promoting products, services and news before the expo.

Lastly, on the company assistance front, 2011 will see the debut of SIGEPNEO, a service conceived in cooperation with trade Associations and addressing the sector´s entrepreneurs of the future and new ones. After a training phase addressing the Associations regarding normative and formal aspects, the people targeted by SIGEPNEO will be invited to SIGEP 2011 and followed on their visit for a hands-on insight of the chain´s sectors and to gain direct experience.
